Inclusion Orchestra of children from Guanabara Bay Communities (awaiting recording)

"The Guanabara Bay is facing issues due to the improper disposal of a substantial amount of sewage, particularly solid waste. Interestingly, the discarded waste has given rise to an opportunity to repurpose it into musical instruments, providing music education for children aged 6 to 14. Under the INCLUSOM Project, led by the Women of Ilha do Governador Association (AMUIG) and with the participation of music teachers, children from the communities of Praia da Rosa and Sapucaia on Ilha do Governador are introduced to music through percussion instruments crafted from the waste found within their communities. In a tribute to environmental conservation, the Inclusom Orchestra performs in the vicinity of Guanabara Bay, at the Moneró Sports Corridor, near Bosque do Seu Hilário. The event serves as a platform for discussions on the importance of an efficient natural resource management in the production chain and how the responsible use of these resources can transform lives."
