The aim of the event is to engage in dialogue on the issue of urban planning, seeking to bring together Recife's urban resilience and improve people's quality of life. The focus on the city of Recife is pertinent, given that it is the 16th most vulnerable city in the world to climate change, according to the UN IPCC. To this end, a round table will be held to discuss the situation, which will include speakers who study the subject of urban resilience, collectives and organisations working on the issue in their territories, as well as the presence of public officials. The aim is to take an interdisciplinary approach in order to increase the public's understanding of the various sectors of civil society and how they are aligned, especially with regard to the interconnection between resilience and sustainability.
