Setting, instrument, and product: Public space as resilience

Life unfolds in public spaces, which play a significant role in both influencing and being influenced by the people who utilize them. These areas serve as venues for meetings and farewells, where friendships are forged, leisure activities are enjoyed, and recreation takes place. Public administration, with or without community involvement, continuously shapes the urban landscape through its efforts, contributing to the dynamic and ever-changing nature of public spaces. With this in mind, we propose a thematic panel to facilitate discussions about the various aspects of these spaces, as found in the research conducted by the Federal University of Paraná’s labs that have come together for this event.
