"In light of climate change and the growing socio-environmental vulnerabilities, it's crucial for planning to effectively coordinate various government levels and scales, integrating different sectoral policies and engaging multiple stakeholders. In other words, planning should take an integrated approach. Under the moderation of Professor Dr. Fernanda Franco (Mato Grosso Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology), the event will host three speakers who will discuss the topic from different perspectives. Andrea Arruda (Federal University of Mato Grosso /Lisbon School of Architecture) will explore the potential of university extension in providing technical assistance for social housing (ATHIS) in partnership with the government. Lívia Tomás (National Center for Natural Disaster Monitoring and Alerts) will highlight the importance of incorporating risk management into territorial planning. Wrapping up the presentations, Jeferson Tavares (Institute of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo) will delve into strategies for enhancing urban adaptability in response to climate change through an interdisciplinary approach and a focus on multiple scales."
