Technical Assistance in Social Housing dialogue: Planning and Urban Projects in São Paulo

Since 2018, Maitá-ATHIS, in collaboration with the Veracidade Association, has been actively engaged in Technical Assistance in Social Housing (ATHIS) in communities facing the challenges of potential removal, socio-environmental risks, and difficulties in organizing for the maintenance of healthy living environments. In this event, three projects will be presented: the "Popular Plan for the Banhado," "Striving for a Greener Neighbourhood," and the Land Regularization project for the "Striving for a Dream" and "Striving for Housing" occupations. Each of these projects, at various levels and stages of resilience, offers solutions for the future of cities and their most vulnerable populations. These solutions result from integrated urban planning involving communities, government authorities, and organized civil society agents with a focus on Technical Assistance in Social Housing.
