Opening of the Itaquaquecetuba City Conference

The Itaquaquecetuba City Conference aims to uphold the principles of democratic city management, in accordance with the City Statute, and facilitate the creation of the Itaquá100years Vision. This vision is a 30-year sustainable development strategy, as the city is set to celebrate its centenary in 2053. Additionally, the conference will serve as a platform for electing delegates to expand the current Municipal Council responsible for monitoring Itaquaquecetuba's Strategic Master Plan, thereby transforming it into a City Council. The event will span three days, with the first morning's proceedings being broadcast on the Urban Circuit. This portion of the event includes the official conference opening. The collaborative efforts of the Institute of Economic Research Foundation-USP in developing the Strategic Master Plan (SMP) and the Municipal Housing Plan (MHP) for Itaquaquecetuba align with the goal of integrated urban planning that combines urban, housing, and environmental policies.
