Opening of the 2023 Urban Circuit

The opening event of the 2023 Urban Circuit marks the beginning of a packed schedule throughout the month of October! Since 2018, UN-Habitat Brazil has been hosting the Urban Circuit – an initiative aimed at providing institutional support and visibility to events organized by various stakeholders in celebration of Urban October. Urban October begins with World Habitat Day (this year on October 2) and ends with World Cities Day (on October 31). This year, the Urban Circuit has received support from the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE). This event will celebrate the expansion of the Urban Circuit and the partnership with ABC, in addition to World Habitat Day. The goal is to address the crucial role of South-South cooperation in building more resilient cities that can act as drivers for growth and recovery after crises, all from the perspective of the Ministry of Cities.
