Smart City Conference. Russia—ASEAN digital space/ III World Construction Championship

Digital transformation is a global technological trend covering all spheres of activity and directly affecting the living standards of the population. Comprehensive digital transformation of the economy and social sphere has become one of the main priorities of Russia's development. Since 2018, the Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities has been implementing the “Smart City” project, which is aimed at forming an effective system of urban management, creating safe and comfortable living conditions for citizens and improving the competitiveness of Russian cities. In 2018, the ASEAN Smart Cities Network was established at the ASEAN Summit, which envisages the development of interaction and exchange of experience between Southeast Asian cities to address pressing issues and ensure sustainable development. Russia expressed interest in joining ASEAN to develop cooperation on “smart cities”. The conference is part of the World Construction Championship (WCC) is purposed for broadening of the economic integration of Russia and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union within the area of construction, housing, and utilities. The event is held every year to improve the viewpoint and competitiveness of Russia on the global stage. Championship competitions include 19 engineering and working nominations involving specialists of leading Russian and foreign companies.
