"Resilient urban economies. Cities as drivers of growth and recovery’

UN Habitat celebrates first Monday of every October as World Habitat Day as per the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 40/202 to reflect on the state of our towns and cities, and on the basic right of all to adequate shelter. This year theme is "Resilient urban economies. Cities as drivers of growth and recovery". This year theme provides an excellent opportunity for the countries to look at how cities can position their economies to benefit residents. UN Habitat Pakistan in collaboration with Agha Khan Agency for Habitat is organizing a workshop on October 2nd, 2023 on "Resilient urban economies. Cities as drivers of growth and recovery". This theme presents a valuable opportunity to explore how cities can enhance their economies for the betterment of their inhabitants. In line with this, UN Habitat Pakistan is arranging a workshop on October 2nd, 2023, to engage in discussions regarding the obstacles and prospects for integrating youth, efficient resource utilization, technological advancements, job creation, and the role of public-private partnerships and civil society organizations in promoting resilient economic growth and recovery.
