'The UHU's Prescription' - for Urban Growth and Resilience

UHU(UN-Habitat by U) - Team B, comprised of South Korean college students dedicated to advocating UN-Habitat's mission, brings attention to a critical issue in post-COVID college towns. They highlight the degenerations of campus towns over businesses and housing, raising concerns about the quality of youth people's lives. Additionally, students are forced to pay excessive rents for inadequate accomodations. To tackle these problems, the team interviews residents and business owners in Seoul's key college towns to assess post-pandemic urban recovery. Their campaign aims to create tailored "prescriptions" or improvement plans addressing these issues. Once finalized, these plans will be shared with local authorities and educational institutions to reinvigorate student housing rights and rejuvenate the college towns.
