With the audio guide to the Käfertal forest

"The City of Mannheim has developed a digital forest tour. The tour for the Käfertal forest is available in the ""Digiwalk"" app. At 10 stations, visitors can learn interesting facts about the city forest. The free offer is aimed at all interested forest visitors. The forest education team presented the digital tour on Sunday, October 2 and was available to answer questions. The route of the forest tour leads about 3.5 km through the Käfertaler Forest and lasts about 2 hours. At 10 stops, in addition to the origins of the urban forest, the tour focuses on current challenges, such as climate change and immigrant species. The guide provides answers to questions such as: How is our urban forest doing? Which tree species have a future here? Why are there fallen trees in the forest? The digital forest guide is part of the forest educational concept of the city of Mannheim. In cooperation with the Waldhaus Mannheim, free forest education events are offered for school classes. Likewise, forest education participates with family events on the ""Day of Biodiversity"" as well as the ""Agenda Diploma"". Further digital forest tours for other areas and tours for families with play suggestions are planned.
