Implementation of the 2020-2030 Bahir Dar City Structural Plan

The main objective of the planned one-day event under the theme “Implementation of the 2020-2030 Bahir Dar City Structural Plan” is to create awareness (about urban plan types & SP, SP components, status of BDC SP implementation, success & failures of its implementation, etc) among the city’s residents and relevant stakeholders as well as potential investors on the growth tendencies of the city. Planners and experts as well as government officials are expected to hold information sessions, presentations, and panel discussions with the aim of informing participants. There will also be Question and Answer session where city residents are expected to have a good takeaway with commitment and affirmation for the implementation of the structural plan in a just and transparent manner during the planned years. The event is also planned to make the outcomes of the Structural plan exercise including maps for selected thematic areas, and a summary report of the SP available to the public through open exhibition and distribution of reports.
