Innovation Sparks Sustainable Urban Development in Rapidlly Urbanizing Places

City planning and urban studies students are presenting a Zoom recorded program. They beign by demonstrating that urban growth is dominant in Africa and Asia but also important in the other regions of the world. Cities in many of these places have a chance (and are already doing it) to leapfrog traditional development formats and conquer such global issues as climate change and poverty and promote shared prosperity by innovating sustainable approaches in housing, transport, environment, economic development and “smart city technology.” They will offer examples of each. They end their presentation with a call to action.
