Ecuador will host a virtual dialogue with countries in the Latin American region to shared lessons learned in preparation for the National Voluntary Report. Given that Ecuador and Quito will host the Third United Nations Conference Habitat III, it is important that the national authorities make progress in the preparation and presentation of the NVE to the High-Level Panel scheduled for April 2022, thus providing substantial inputs to the process of monitoring the implementation of the NUA at the territorial level and making visible its commitment to sustainable urban development. Furthermore, it would be considered opportune to open this exchange workshop to other countries in the region so that they can learn about the process to prepare and eventually present in front of the Secretary of the NUA. Therefore, it is purposed to hold this exchange virtually (webinar), allowing representatives from Cuba, Colombia, and Mexico to share their experiences in formulating the national report, the reported indicators, instruments employed to collect the information (qualitative and quantitative), lessons learned that can serve as a guide for the invited delegates so they might construct a roadmap to aid in the preparation and presentation of the aforementioned High-Level Panel.
