Health in the City is one of three panel discussions aiming to raise awareness about current issues related to sustainability and health. The initiative is one of several actions carried out by the Sant Pau Foundation in support of UN Global Compact's universal principals in relation to human and labour rights, environmental protection and anti-corrruption, as well as UN Sustainable Development Goals. The Heath of the City session will be celebrated in a hybrid format, combining limited in-person participation with public online streaming and permanent reference on the Foundation's website and YouTube channel. Panel participants will examine how urban planning and policies can harm or contribute to improvements in residents’ health and quality of life, with specific attention to SDG3 targets. Some of the questions to be explored include: mobility and health, urban green spaces, a Health in All Policies planning approach, the impact of the COVID19 pandemic in cities, climate change mitigation, and urban resilience. The other two panel discussions in the Sant Pau Dialogue series will explore the concepts of planetary health and equity in digital health.
